So, let's start there... with the difference between "simple" and "easy". Simple, according to Webster's means: "not hard to understand, having few parts: not complex or fancy, not special or unusual". Easy, on the other hand is defined as: "not hard to do, not difficult, free from pain, trouble,or worry, not hurried." DO YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE??? Simple- not hard to understand. Easy- not hard to do. Simple- not complex...not unusual. Easy- not difficult, free from pain, trouble. There is a huge difference between simple and easy. It's simple to understand what we should eat, but it's easy to grab something unhealthy on the go... My FED-up plan is simple to understand, but not necessarily easy to do, at least not until you change the limiting beliefs about foods...
So, let me ask you; what beliefs are limiting your life? Some of the objections I hear when I suggest ideas about how to effectively change a clients life are: "It's just too hard!" "I wish I could do that." "I'm not smart enough, wealthy enough, old enough, young enough, pretty enough..." the list goes on. Sometimes these beliefs are the result of projections others have placed on us, but oftentimes we find as we delve deeper that these wrong beliefs stem from fear, stubbornness, and yes... even laziness!
"If you believe you can't do something, you're right" So in order to have success we have to change our attitude towards challenges. Why do some people seem to have all the success and excitement life has to offer? These people are not special, more talented or "blessed". They have learned to gain and maintain a "Can Do" attitude. It doesn't mean they don't feel fear, or get tired... The difference is that they don't let those feelings STOP them! They have learned that fear and procrastination are simply obstacles to be overcome, not stopping places. (Simple- not hard to understand... NOT...Easy- not hard to do)
What's holding you back? What's keeping you from living the life you desire? Take a look at your belief system and you may find your answer. The best way to begin altering our limiting beliefs is to understand what's causing our reluctance to change. Once we understand, we can begin the process of change- one small step at a time... (See previous Blog post about how to do this...) It all begins in the MIND- Change your mind, change your life!!!
